In this digital library, you can search on any topic in geography for books, manuscripts, journals, prints, databases, items in microform, CD-ROMs, images and digital materials.
This portal is realized with technology developed in the context of the CACAO Project. CACAO offers an innovative approach for accessing, understanding and navigating multilingual textual content in digital libraries and library catalogues.
The innovation of CACAO’s cross-language search is to provide an infrastructure that enables the end-user to enter queries in his/her own language and retrieve catalog records and objects in any supported language.
The CACAO project has developed another two thematic portals: History of Europe and Mathematics.
